My Oath is on April 09. Just curious If I can vote on April 28?

I believe even if you're not on the voters roll in time, the citizenship certificate and any proof of address will be enough at the polling station.

I say this not because there's any doubt about elections Canada and the voting list but so that others know: you can vote even if you're not on that list. Ask elections Canada or even at the poll on the day of. Oh, and usually the poll workers are very happy to assist 'new voters' and make them feel welcome.

They try really, really hard to make sure everyone who is eligible can vote. It's just a bit easier if you're on the voters' list (less required).

I've worked elections and have a person getting oath on the 25th. I'm not expecting any issues voting.

Yes sir, let me know how it goes at Elections Canada. I think it would be a little too close to April 28 and I plan to visit Elections Canada in person. I'll let you know how it goes. In case I miss, please holla :D

We're roughly on the same timeline, AOR, Test Dates, BG Check. But I'm still waiting on LPP and Oath Ceremony.

Yes hopefully any day now for the rest of us Dec applicants. Best thing to do is occupy yourself with life lol that seems to be working for me, although I sometimes have my moment of being impatient.
In the grand scheme of things, this is literally our 3rd month in the process. Applicants from earlier months are just getting there fingerprints cleared or still waiting on them to clear.

Looks like my file is moving, albeit slowly. My test window is scheduled to begin on Friday (invite was from Scarborough office), but I just now got a fingerprint request from the Vancouver office. Wife’s BG has been done since mid-Feb…

Honestly I am surprised, how quickly files are moving. The avg file is being processed in 4 months. I would have never imagined ircc being so efficient. People should have no reason to complain.

When i applied for citizenship in 2020, it took 6 months for aor alone. and more than 19months till oath. Crazy times
