Have a question please , I applied for Canadian citizenship on December , and my passport is set to expire on February 25. Is it important to renew it? Like , i don't intend to travail but could an officer request it maybe ? to double check that i didn't travail anywhere after the expiration of new passeport ? or maybe they have the details on their database already and they don't need that ?

No need to apply for a new one if you are not going to travel anytime soon.

Hi Hazel, I think for the initial piece of creating the files, sending AOR and setting up the test - it is all done in Sydney. Then the file is transferred over to a local IRCC office. I could be wrong though....

So hmmm can I understand it as … the test will come before any completion such as the background check? The local office will be handling those?

No, the Timing of the testing is unique and different for people.Sometimes you'll see people get the test.Invite before their background check completes and other times you see people get the test invite and then wait for their background check and l p p to complete.
