Unfortunately, no. Besides the OWP your wife need to find a full-time job and for her employer to provide a letter showing that she will be employed for at least 6 months. With the letter + OWP then she can apply for OHIP

Try to apply for SIN online soon. It will take 1 month at least.

Oh ok then but she will have new expiry in her OWP. That you should be updating on the SIN. You can do it online (change of expiry date 900 series).

@amitaquarius for the OWP, December 9th 2019 applicants started getting approval yesterday May 12th. You're almost there. I don't know if the PR process is progressing the way it should.

Thanks for the prompt response @hiwilley. PR applications are taking a lot of time I guess its 9 to 12 months based on the IRCC website but I am sure this will go up.

I don't know where it came from. But it took almost a week to reach here after they mailed it. So I think it's from Edmonton.

Hi, @Eli51 my spouse application was received by IRCC on 14th Dec 2019 and we are still waiting for updates. Not sure how long they will take to view the application.
