Kind of reasonable timelines! Yet fastest given pandemic. All those getting processed should rather be happy and grateful.

I did test 2 months ago, but happy to be at DM as of now. Hopefully, will get Oath invite soon.

I somewhat don't feel any gratitude whatsoever. It is like being held hostage and then feel gratitude towards the hostage taker (Stockholm syndrome, right?)... This should have been a more informed process. No one was expecting them to continue at full speed with COVID, but what should have been done was talking to the applicants' tribe and keeping them informed on what's coming, what new SLA's are, when to expect what etc. Right now it is more of a lottery when you know nothing and expect a miracle every morning. So I would have to disagree on the first part of your statement here.

And I don't blame IRCC agents and officers for that. It is coming from the one who manages the whole show. It was his job to organize that info flow and that part of his job was miserably failed

Feel free to disagree! I am as frustrated as anyone else. Yes it is pretty much like a lottery. Hence my comment about being Grateful than crying for a little more wait.

I am not taking other side either. I fully agree to all loopholes and issues you have addressed.

In actual fact, I was probably the first person to write a detailed email to Immigration Minister last June laying out some of the suggested SoPs. I did share some ballpark numbers /rough calculations of how those SoPs would keep backlog at bay, and other ways to manage growing backlog. I am sure someone at IRCC had a look at it.

At the end of the day, IRCC is a bureaucracy and has many checklist to go through to even move a piece of paper from 1 desk to the other.

One should look back and appreciate that IRCC has done a feast of achievements:

1- Virtual Oaths have resumed last fall
2- Virtual Tests have resumed and a lot many applicants are getting test invites
3- Online Citizenship applications process has been launched and making great headway
4- Probably with last month shut down of Virtual Oaths, and resumption this week, IRCC may have upgraded/improved tech features.

I know it is not satisfying to an individual applicants, but in overall scheme of things, IRCC has made a huge progress and let's hope that all backlog is resolved quickly. Things are moving and let's hope for the best.

Who here completed their test 15-18 of March and has received an oath or interview invite already?

So a couple months to decision made and then a couple months minimum to the oath plus one month for the passport... gotta wait another 5-6 months...

As long as my test accepted its a big relief for me. I can wait for months bz covid still here jobs losing so just want to keep my job is my priority haha

There's nothing to worry about. Relax, it will come when it comes I understand the uncertainty is not fun, I've been there as well! If you are really worried whether they have received your result, give them a call on Tuesday and they will let you know if it was recorded. Based on my observation, your timeline seems to be normal.

I forgot where you are located, but interview may be required if they need to verify your documents and identity. It will come sooner than later!

Hi, any idea on the realistic proportion of people who have received a test invite?

According to the tracker, it's 20% for December 2019. But, that's including a lot of stale data. I can't really believe that only 85% have AoR and 70% are in-process. I'm pretty sure people haven't come back to update the tracker. Therefore, in the worst case, if all the people who reported in-process came back, it's 20% out of 70% which is around 28.5%.

However, given that we have lost 15% between submission to AoR and an additional 10% between AoR to in-process, we would probably lose 10-15% at this stage (in-process to test invite) as well. This will mean we have 20% out of about 55% which is around 36%. In my opinion, this is the realistic percentage of December 2019 applicants who have received a test invite. Any other ideas?

I start to think that test invite happen after 1 year from in-process date. Most of applications seems to get test invite after 12 months from in-process. So in my case we are 6 month away still and counting.
Stressful time, i have not seen my parents for over 7 years. with pandemics i dont know if we will ever see them before they die . No visitors visa, no citizenship, no passport, no travel.

Quick question, once you completed the test and you passed did you get another confirmation mail from CIC for the test before you moved to DM. Cuz I can see you moved from Test passed to DM within 5 days?

Have you received an email about update in your cabinet since the status changed to DM? Or did you just see this update when logged in and checked manually?
