Please I need an advice, I am about to submit my citizenship application but my International passport (home country) just expired, can I still submit it as proof of identity or do I need to start renewing my passport before applying.

Hi, no need to renew as long as you are not planning to leave Canada. My family submitted expired passports. Just give a reason why you did not renew. Then submit a photocopy of your biographical pages of your expired passport.

You have to wait until they send you AOR (which takes around 1-2 months based on spreadsheet) via email. Then there will be a code (UCI) that you can you to track your application status. Once you get the AOR, your application will begin to be processed.

They didnt start opening applications received in December as yet . They're still sending Aor for November applications

AOR means documentation and form is OK. IRCC will request additional information or finger print if required.
