I got a GU on Jan 29... and I called CIC today and the agent told me that the GU was for your security screening and it is BEST... i again asked him what BEST means.. does this mean its Complete. And he replied yea thats what if means... i asked him about other stages but he refused to answer... My timelines are:

Aor- Oct 2
medical - Oct 22
biometric - Nov 5...
Called in dec 10 amd raised a webform in January first week. The status was Eligibility: recommended pass; criminality valid and BG in progress..
could you please share your thoughts on this. If security is passed too then y i didnt recv email yet....
The call centre reps do not provide accurate info. Assuming that if your security is done, then a final review takes place and only then the PPR is sent. So you can wait for a few days and see, or check your GCMS notes to know what is happening.

After Biometrics my background check status changed to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check". And few days later "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information". Few days ago, it changed back to "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check". Can someone please tell me what stage I am currently in?

I saw one Ghost Update around MEP and current Background status is: "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
Hi guys. I received a response to my request for my VO on monday. It reads
"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We verified the information you provided and can confirm that your application is still in process at the Centralized Intake Office (CIO) in Sydney, Nova Scotia
All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.
While the processing times may vary with each case, we will make all the necessary efforts to finalize your application as soon as possible. "
Meanwhile, i received a ghost update on tuesday and my background check changed to "we are ptocessong your background check"
Does this mean that my VO is CIO, Sydney NS?. AOR os Dec 4......PNP_Ontario.

I got invitation and submitted my profile on May 31st 2019. My expected date of process completion was on 30th November 2019.
I got married on 26th October 2019 and informed them regarding the status change, they have requested for Police Clearance Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Proofs of Marriage etc... i have done all those and on December 6th 2019 they requested to do Medicals of my wife and we have done her medicals on 9th December 2019.
Now more than 50 days over and no updates till now. I am waiting for Passport Request. Is anyone knows how long it will take to get Passport Request when there is a status change happens.
I am lil worried coz my medicals will get expired on May 20th 2020.
