Is it an official news by ircc ?? That time leone are extended

This is so disappointing that applications are being processed RANDOMLY. someone is getting it in 70-80 days others have to wait for 180 days or more. And this too with people with same stream, nationality, country of residence etc.

Yeah that's what I observed too.. but again we really don't know how they working on the applications and every case is different.

I am December 3rd AOR, today application status got changed from

Background Check - "We are processing your background check".

Previously it was "Your application is in progress".

Still 32 days to go...

I know I'm not supposed to swear... but...
So last week I was just frustrated so sent another inquiry on the status and they basically said that they had sent the first correspondence on February 20 and another one on April 9... but guess what... TO THE WRONG ADDRESS!!! Like are you kidding me. How can they make this stupid mistake... I got all their emails regarding application status updates...

So to everyone... who do get their third ghost update.. CALL.. and CALL... and CALL...

So it looks like they had sent me the golden email on February 20...

So I guess now I wait another month

I guess my application took 62 days from AOR to COPR...
Email went to the wrong address... they forgot to add "g" to my email address...
I'm happy that it is COPR but also livid at such a mistake...
To all of you who are still waiting... BLESSINGS!!!

This can be frustrating.... same thing happened to my younger brother. He never really bothered to call as he doesn’t plan on relocating immediately. He is October AOR and decided to call since it was taking so long and he was told they had sent him the PPR mail a while ago. Only that they sent it to the wrong email address. He gave them a the correct one and they said they would resend it, but it has been a month now....

FSW outland, Russia, AOR 30 Dec, MEP 12 Feb,
On 29 Apr was ghost update - application changed to
"Background check We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information."
As CIC told me,
"Your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied.
The background verifications are currently in process." So I presume, eligibility is completed?
I guess it's IP2, am I right?
How long does it take for the background check to be completed?
What does this check mean? How does it differ from eligibility?
