Hi all, thank you for the amazing feedback and support following this post! I have created a new dedicated thread, which we can share easily. Please consider adding a link in your signature and direct people to it who have questions that we have addressed there in depth. https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-i...mep-ip1-ip2-ghost-update-version-2019.612656/
Plus, a weekend haiku:
Ghost update or not,
I will enjoy this weekend.
I hope you do, too!
This weekend is a long weekend in Canada 18 Feb - Family Day! *SIGH*
I hope they make some families across the world happy this Friday before they go for long weekend
*Good Vibes*

Does anyone know what the process is for a UK citizen applying for CEC PR from the UK, once PR is approved. I.e. PPR and/or COPR.
The reason I ask, is I'm considering doing a bit of travelling whilst I wait for it to be approved and was wondering if I'd still be asked to submit my passport or whether it goes straight to COPR and passport is stamped upon entry to Canada. Also, am I correct in thinking you have 30 days to submit your passport for PPR (unless you note why it can't be done in that time), and 90 days to enter Canada once you're issued with COPR?

Everyone does PPR, including inland applicants. Only US citizens (me, yayyyyy) are slightly different, in that we don't have to send our actual passport, but instead a photocopy of it. Citizens from visa-exempt countries only have to submit a photocopy of the passport. Keep in mind, PPR is also sending photos in their specific format.
30 days for PPR submission. You have until your CoPR/medical expires to land, not 90 days.

Small correction... citizens of all visa-exempt countries (including the UK) may send a passport copy rather than their passport.
If you are holder of passport(s) from countries whose citizens need aneTAto travel to Canada or a holder of passport(s) from the United States, you will need to submit one photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the passport for you and for each accompanying family member. Please do not send your original passport(s). Your passport(s) should be valid for at least 6 months.
Thanks! I didn't realize it applied to other visa-exempt since US citizens are even exempt from eTA. I thought that was the difference. Thanks for the correction.
True - @USProgrammer@USCAN2019 - My Background check just changed to 'We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information' from 'Your application in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check'. Also, I saw the PR current status as 'Application/profile updated' but no email communication.
