Send a CSE and ask them to provide an update on each stage within the process. Being outland your case could have already been transferred to a visa office in India. If so when you get a reply from your CSE they will ask you to contact the named visa office.

- visa office
- elegbility
- criminality
- background check

Thanks a ton, i just sent the enquiry...however they say this "
Your enquiry has been successfully submitted. We will get back to you with answers to your questions as soon as possible.

If your application is within normal processing times you will not receive a reply from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada"
I am just 3 months in, doss that mean they wont respond to my query?

That’s just a standard response, you will get a reply but how detailed the reply will be will all depend on the agent that picks it up.

Mine is a very similar situation. I received an AOR after submission of documents online on Dec 4th. I have applied from the US but my nationality is Indian. Mine has been just over three months. Do you think is it worth sending an enquiry as the processing date in the progress bar is up until June 4th.

Yeah I would, it can’t hurt getting a update.

I'm expecting some standard bureaucratic replies since June 4th is the actual deadline but you are right, a query wouldn't hurt.

From what i heard in the forums people who have receiced their AOR in dec 2018 do not need biometrics. (I am talking abt fsw - O applicants)

I’m FSW-O applicant with December 2018 AOR, received biometrics request in 3 weeks after AOR.

Hi all.

ITA - 30th Oct 2019
AOR - 24th Dec
Medical passed on 6th Feb and almost a month now, still in IP1 (i.e. 'Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check.'). Although, my status bar is progressing as couple of weeks ago it showed ETA - 4 months, last week it was 18 weeks (wth), today it shows 17 weeks.

I'm curious about biometrics, did anyone else receive biometrics letter as of now? Who all applied in December!

I’m FSW applicant , AOR was received on December 28th of 2018, got biometrics request in 3 weeks after AOR

Are you a single applicant or family? I think they take more time for a family as there are more person to do background check! Just a thought. Also, please share whether you received PPR or on what stage you are on.

I’m married , I’m a primary applicant , so 2 people in the application- me and my husband . No PPR yet and no clue which stage I am at since I’ve used a consultant to apply and they aren’t really sharing that intermediate information

AOR - Dec 18th
Medicals Approved - Jan 30th
Status IP2 - We are processing your background check.
