Just got off the call with CIC call center agent. he told me that since last monday they are opening Dec 15, 2017 packages. Today they are on Dec 16, 2017. Need to wait for atleast 2 weeks to get AOR for the people whose application received on Dec 27, 2017.
Interesting, a co-worker said our the Vancouver citizenship applications are sent to Nova Scotia for sorting and inputting, then sent back to Vancouver for the rest of the processing . . . curious why they would do that.

All applications are mailed to Nova Scotia. Didn't you mail your application to Sydney ? From there they get transferred to local office. Sorry if I misunderstood.
I was wondering if anyone received a request from CIC for fingerprints. I sent mine a week ago but there hasn't been any change in ecas status. Should I expect any confirmation from cic that they got them?
Also what is the next step normally after this?

All applications are mailed to Nova Scotia. Didn't you mail your application to Sydney ? From there they get transferred to local office. Sorry if I misunderstood.
Ah, thank you, did not know that they all went to the same processing center - since the dates on AOR are all over the map, I thought they went to different places.
