I applied from Edmonton and got AOR.

As far as I know, the city has nothing to do with AOR stage . once it is in process, then it is delivered to the CIC office in your city.

No they don't as a lot of members had nothing on them.

And as mentioned - who stamps them if one does their photos themselves?

This answer is absolutely incorrect.

It is a requirement to get photographs stamped, not sure if you read the spec. There are three possibilities if you did not get them stamped:

1) Officer reviewing your file is forgiving and accepts it
2) Application is accepted but they ask to provide new photographs
3) Application is returned

From what I've seen on this forum, 3) is the most common outcome.

They need the stamp, especially the date, to make sure the photos are not older than 6 months. FWIW, it wasn't a good idea to click your photographs yourself.

And BTW, didn't you say you got AOR 2 days after application delivery date ? I find it very hard to believe now that you did, else you won't be panicking over your application being returned. You've lost all credibility.

Updated. Application will be transferred to a local CPC close to your home address once your status changes to "In Process". After that, it's typically "test/interview". You could also be asked to provide fingerprints.
