I applied for citizenship December 2017, 1st. Still waiting for test invitation. I called them before holidays. They said I need to give them more time. Any body in the same situation?

Rather than calling i suggest you send them an email using webform. Call centre agents have limited knowledge of ur app on the other hand email will go to your processing officer who will then respond accordingly. Do highlight the fact in ur email that you are past due 12 months processing standard.

I did my test today at the Mississauga location and I was surprised not to see the place fully packed, maybe coz it was an early morning test? Anyhow, I scored 19/20, one question kynda threw me OFF. My best advice is READ THE STUDY GUIDE! Every single bit of it LOL, including the margins.....sigh. The question that got me was right in the margins and I remember looking at it hahahha! So study guide, study guide, study guide!

After the test, I had the interview with the officer and he asked for my ID's, prohibition form and passports. Checked my travel history and everything was good. He told me waiting times for Oath invitation should be 6-8 weeks but can be longer coz they have a backlog........arrgh. So waiting game begins agaaaaaaaaain!!!!!!!

Still waiting on my test invite, applied on Dec 18,2017. Still nothing.

Hi Admin, Please update my status as below. All the best to all current applicants, its long wait but there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Applied from Brampton, both test and oath was in Mississauga office.

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 15, 2017.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on February 1, 2018.
3. We started processing your application on February 28, 2018.
4. We sent you a notice on September 4, 2018 to appear and write the citizenship test on September 20, 2018.
5. We sent you a notice on December 6, 2018 to appear and take the oath of citizenship at the citizenship ceremony to be held on December 21, 2018.
6. You became a Canadian citizen on December 21, 2018.

I applied citizenship on December 22, 2017. I did my citizenship test on June 20, 2017. But after that my ecas still shows "in process" even after more than six months. Pl advice.

Send them a web from weekly you already passed a year

Took the oath today. Will apply for passport in two days. My journey on this forum is complete, but happy to help any one if any one need it. For TL, check the google sheet. I used this forum extensively for last 9 years since I came as a student. I am thankful to every one who helped .

May i know hows your experience for resheduling the oath?.. what is the process?.. and how long they take to reshedule it?..

i sent a letter to my local cic as indicated on the original invite to oath requesting for a different date.I provided my reason as to why I cannot make it on the original date.

I received the notice with the new date in the mail exactly a month from my inquiry.
