December 2017 - Citizenship Applicants

Hi everyone,
Attended the oath ceremony at Mc Micheal Canadian Art Collection in Vaughan on Monday 5 Nov . Some 50 new canadians from 28 different countries took their oath of citizenship.

Oh what a great location! My wife would have loved that location to have her ceremony. She had it in the drab Mississauga office on Glen Erin Dr.

Just got the Oath Invitation, Nov 29th at Mississauga. all the best folks who are waiting for next steps.

Keep up the spirit it is not too far off and keep your hopes up.

Wrote my test on 15 August 2018
Decision made 17 th sep 2018
Oath request email came 9th November 2018
Oath will take place on the 29 th November 2018 in mississauga

myself (19/20) and my wife (20/20)passed test at Scarborough yesterday(Mississauga applicant ). ECAS updated to decision made. I have a question about my daughter’s ecas (7 years old) which still shows in process. Is it normal ?

No decision made or oath invitation.

Travelled once (4 months) in 2014 and once after applying for citizenship on Dec 28th (2 months)

Is it normal to take this long?

We took the oath on last Friday ( 9-Nov-2018). Application status is now 'Complete'

Many thanks to forum members and administrators for their assistance throughout the process.

I think the vast majority of us would be content to get an oath invitation, even if the location would be in the middle of Highway 401
