Hi, I just called CIC to check on my citizenship application. My app was received on Dec 27, received AOR on Feb 6 and In process on March 6.

The last time I called CIC (a month ago) they told me my app is in transit to Mississauga office. Today the lady told me they are doing background check. Told her so it’s in Mississauga office? She responded I’m not sure but they system shows Sydney for the location! Does anyone have any experience on this? Who usually does the background check - Sydney office or Mississauga?

If the application has had in progress status since March 6, you can simply watch for any further communication or notices from IRCC and respond accordingly. Otherwise, WAIT and if you are not test-exempt, prepare for the test.

If you do not get a notice to take the test by fall, try giving the help centre another call.

No need to follow up on this information or to make another call before . . . October? Or so.

Test date: June 14.

Hi everyone,

My fingerprint results were received by IRCC Scarborough Office on 29 March 2018 and all the background checks (including police and security clearance) were completed on 12 April 2018. I was wondering how long does it take to get the citizenship test invite after the file has been updated with FP results. I would appreciate your thoughts and/or experiences.

who says medicines are not allowed without prescription in Canada?
Sleeping pills are easily available. At-least to the CIC guys who sleeps after receiving your citizenship application.
