Are test invites sent via email right?Also for the snail mail for RQ or FP request, does the envelop says CIC or it's a blank envelope with confidential written on it. I am going out of the country so have to ask some one to pickup the mail. This is the reason, I am asking this

Well i am not sure about CIC but so far whenever i have seen a letter from and government department, it always shows the name of the department on the envelope.
@HLR...well, I believe if they took you to test level, means they are satisfied with the proceedings n documents, logically background check should sequence before test.. comments from friends??

Test and BG checks are independent can be run in parallel.
Getting a test invite does not automatically imply all other checks were complete and satisfactory.
You can get a test invite before BG checks even begin, and vice versa.
