Same for my wife.
She did the test in Sharjah on 16.12.2017 and received email on Thursday 28.12.2017 that the results are withheld.

Hi, did you checked with British council for the reason of delay.i had called them twice and they said nothing to worry.

Yes, we did. But we couldn’t get a specific date for an update on our situation. So we just have to wait

Hello,

I too got the same mail, I took test in India Gurgaon on 16th December and I was asked to wait until 19th January and it is not sure even then that on 19th they will declare the results.

It is quite annoying.

Any idea why they withheld these results?

I heard that results are withheld due to unusual scoring patterns as in large number of candidates scored high bands which is a good thing!
Are the results released now?

Nope, they didn't.. called them yesterday and they said results will be released before 19th January

I am also awaiting my 16th Dec results. They told me you will receive an email latest by Thursday 11th Jan. Else you can make
a complaint. Anyone else has any updates.
