You should use the date on your NOD. Members can often tell you if you will be approved or not during the hearing but what counts is the date specified on the NOD.

The correct date to use is the NOD date. Members give verbal approval of hearing but what is considered during citizenship calculations is the written date on your NOD.

The date that the NOD letter was written is not relevant. In the body of the letter it should state the day that you were approved as a protected person. Based on what you posted that may be August 1st but I haven’t seen your full letter.
