Horray!!! Got admission letter from CS department... however it says the final decision will be by Faculty of Graduate studies.. is this mean still we have some issues with confirmed acceptance? 8).. @as_ok .... dude if you r going to DAL then you can join me buddy... because i am going to DAL pakka.

Today is lucky day for me I guess.. got a offer for 8Lac package .... strange it is... :O and also a mail from UIUC(USA) that my application is selected for top 40 applications out of which 30 will be offered admission... 8) ;D

If after ur studies u r planning to stay in North America permenantly then i would strongly suggest u to go for Canada. I guarentee u, u will get the permenant residence after ur Masters in Canada. But for USA make sure those guys got rules very very tight to become permenant resident in the recent years.

Thats a good point. Even my friend who did masters in canada had acquired 10 years visa to USA.From canada i guess it is some wat easy to get into US than from India .

I received an offer letter from the department.
It is just one page.
They did not send any other form/page that shows if i have condition attached to my offer.
Every body got the same 1 page offer letter ?
