October 18th I submitted other material. Because we got married in December and we applied the following February. So I added some pictures, entry/exit visa for 2 more trips I took this year, and more skype phone call logs, and a short text about continued communication.
October 25th they replied to simply say they confirm that the case in process.
October 26th I finally receive the applicant's GCSM note I had ordered a long time ago, it was mostly empty. And the comments in it were the same I had in my sponsor's GCSM notes I had ordered and received.
October 27th my eCAS file was updated to background application check.
And today November 1st we received PPR, but also a 2nd email requesting to do the medical exam (which expired end of October).
I am a student in Canada and may qualify for postgraduate work permit after completion early next year. I have a Canadian wife with kids (our own kids). I am contemplating of applying through the outland sponsorship instead of inland since the former is faster. However, I would like to know whether it will affect my postgraduate work permit application? And assuming interview is waived for the PR application, do I have to travel to visa office to get pr visa or I can receive pr card when it's approved? Thank you for your clarification.
Yep, i got an email from CiC on 27th saying "there was an update done on your application. login to check."
So i went to MyCiC (from the website, never from an email) and the "A Background check is needed" line was changed to "In Progress"
All the other lines had stayed the same. (Application Open / elibility & medical : Review In Progress / review of submitted docs blank / interview not needed at this time).
that was early morning on 27th, so around 10am over there i guess.
