U r required to file-in the CCTB forms [& the Tax-Claim forms] with your bank A/c Nos. [jointly held or the mother's]. And the monthly remittances get credited into that a/c automatically. U'd also receive periodic notifications of the amount despatched.

Thanks can you send me links for Tax-Claim forms, where to get that?

Entitlement to benefits and credits

As a newcomer to Canada, you may be eligible for the goods and services/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit, the Canada Child Tax Benefit (CCTB), and/or the Universal Child Care Benefit (UCCB) payments in the year you became a resident of Canada.

To apply for the GST/HST credit, complete Form RC151, GST/HST Credit Application for Individuals Who Become Residents of Canada.
To apply for the CCTB and/or the UCCB payments, complete Form RC66, Canada Child Benefits Application. Depending upon your immigration and residency status, you may also have to complete the schedule Status in Canada/Statement of Income.

An e-Cas status of "In Process" suggests the 'work in progress' stage of your apps processing. This will be the longest standing e-Cas... wherein the b/ground checks, reviews, security clearances, addnl docs assessment/s, med review etc. would be done. This also takes-in the 'queue' component as well.

It's only when your visa/s r stamped that this e-Cas status will be updated to "Decision Made". Unfortunately, due to the variance in processing timeframe between the applicants, many tend to become impatient during the 'In Process' stage... when u see that someone having a similar timeline as u have recd ADR or the MR... which obviously is 'case-specific'.

Thank you very much dear Qorax...........

Dear Qorax,
I and my family (wife & son) landed in Toronto last Nov. 09 2010 as permanent resident, did the landing formalities(got the Sin #,PR card,Open a bank account) stayed for 21 days and went back to Dubai to wrap-up everything. I resigned my job on May 2011 and came here in Calgary last July 20 to settle finally and looking for a job.. My wife is supporting me right now who is still working in Dubai. My family will follow after 3-4 months.

I'm planning to file this week the CTB,my wife is the main applicant..
I'm a bit confused and need your guide.

Questions

1) Can I file or is it possible to file the CTB while my wife & son are still in Dubai? they will follow in 3-4 months time.
2) in the form RC66 SCH E(10) front page- i filled-up the landing date(nov. 09,2011) when we became new residents in Canada..next column- am I considered returning resident of Canada? if I came back here in Calgary last July 20 to settle finally?

Thanks and Regards

The CCTB form is ought to be filed by the mother, not u. She has to sign as well, not u. So, u can't do much about it until she arrives here. And whenever she arrives, the CCTB would commence from "that day". The day she actually takes-up residence here.
