Hi.. CIC emailed me last Jan.24 requesting a copy of my CSQ which I already submitted last Feb 3. How long will it take before I will get the famous PPR? I just got my GCMS notes pulled out Jan.26 and it says elligibility recommend passed, medical passed, criminality not started, security not started, and also the request for the CSQ was stated there..
Hopefully somebody on here has experience with this! How long was your processing time for CSQ from submitting the CSQ application to receiving it?

Took me about 2 weeks to receive my CSQ in the mail.

It took 3 mos. & 3 weeks! Yeah! It was such a long wait. We were so unlucky that our application fell into a very slow officer. After couple of calls to midi informing them about the request letter from CIC, they finally approved my CSQ jan.30 and our consultant got it in the mail feb.2..
Hi everyone I am knew to this forum,
I think I am in the same situation as you guys, it took one month to receive the CSQ by mail, we got it yesteday Feb 7, now my husband will send a copy of the CSQ to the CIC.
Just wanted to update Quebec applicants that the overall waiting time wasn't much different compared to a non-Quebec applicant even though there is an extra step to obtain the CSQ. This is just my experience through the Ottawa VO.
Thank you for these replies guys
My GF is sponsoring me and we're sending off the application tomorrow once I've done a final, final, final check to ensure it's complete.
I'm from the UK but have lived in Montreal, QC now for 16 months. We're common-law as have been living together since I moved over. She's born and raised in QC and is a Citizen from birth.
It seems like getting the CSQ from the MIDI isn't going to drag on for months and months. We got a Francophone to read through the documentation for Kit A as it's in French only.
How long is it before the Fed start asking for your CSQ?

Sorry you had to wait so long! I hope it didn't cause any issues with the Federal Gov, as it wasn't your fault you had to wait so long.
in our case, the CSQ was requested 9 days after AOR1, SA, Biometrics, etc.
my dates are in the signature. still in the middle of this process... they just charged my credit card yesterday, which I'm hoping means that the packet was complete.
it's recommended to fill out the paperwork in advance. that way you don't have to spend much time on it when it is finally requested. it made it much easier!

Thanks for your reply; you're right about it being filled in advance. That's what Quebec recommend to do, I guess I was being over cautious and didn't want to get forms filled out if for some reason I wasn't gonna pass the 1st stage!
The Quebec sponsorship stuff was received in Montreal yesterday, so hopefully we'll hear something soon.
Clearly based on our differing timelines that it doesn't happen in perfect order. But that's fine as long as we all get what we want
Best of luck buddy
