same here, CSIS took 11 months to conclude my security , and since then my file is with CBSA for 6 months, still waiting

Also , I heard if CSIS found any concerns, then CBSA hold the file for so long. Did you serve any military, government job or you have any gap or any kind of job in Pakistan.

no I never work for any govt job or military service, neither have any gap, and it is not like that, unfortunately my application got assigned to a lazy officer that's it

Bro, I m not going to wait that long. I m going to court then Bcz I want proof on what basis they are conducting this much security check which looks so unfair. They can’t understand our mental stress and emotional breakdown. Our lives are on a edge. We are living in 2024 era, is if taking them this long to check a simple person history waooo man. It’s fucking disgusting. Now I think I am a criminal with this much wait . Without telling us and they can ask us proof and all or a document if they have this much concerns. But this much wait is so terrible. I don’t know what kind of system are they using.

I totally understand your frustration, but I recommend you wait a little longer. Your application assignment due date has changed frequently, and the updated one is at the end of June. Am I right? That is a signal that they may make a decision on your case soon; otherwise, they wouldn't need to set such a close due date.

I have applied under pr program in which applications processing time is 6 months. Also I think these due dates are system generated

I am having the same kind of issue and fully agree with you that we are in 2024 and paid for their services, but remember they are processing various applications at the same time... the other thing is the office and ultimately the officer that is processing your application.. I used to check the tracker lots of time during the day, and it was not making me feel good.. so I decided to check only once in the morning and if there is nothing, I do my best to forget about at least until the next day.. Fingers crossed our applications will be processed soon.. Try to enjoy Summer as it flies by here

Again, due dates (as shown in your GCMS notes) are meaningless. They are system generated, and a relic of previous systems where, a formal agreement existed between CIC (now IRCC) and the CBSA, which stated that security screening advice (from the CBSA) would be provided to IRCC officers within 9 to 18 months of request.

That stat is from years ago. There are no recent public records of the current service agreement (for obvious reasons), so no one could tell you how long comprehensive security screening *should* take really.

The only thing to note is that, across all applications (Visas, PR, Citizenship), certain nationalities get flagged for comprehensive checks more iften than others, based on current/ historical geopolitical events.

It sucks to be in a situation where your application appears “stuck”, but beyond having superhuman patience, your options are to go through your MP, or through the courts (writ of mandamus).

And my security is 1 year overdue. The due date is not binding, and applicants can't use it as an argument at court.

got my portal 1 today and security passed too. My security started on 12 july 2023. On June 5, as per IRCC call agent it’s in progress by cbsa and today my security got passed and I got portal 1. It took 11 months for security to be cleared
