I would ensure you include this information when you send in your police clearance.
* Surname and Given name(s) of Principal Applicant;
* Date of birth (YYYY-MM-DD);
* Application number
* Unique Client Identifier (UCI) number / Client ID number;
* Category of Immigration (CEC, Provincial Nominee, Family Class; Federal Skilled Worker, Temporary Resident);
When we're all checking ECAS we're checking the applicant's ECAS. The sponser apparently has their own ECAS stuff and it just goes for their information.
I'm pretty sure they have two UCI one for sponser one for applicant. My ECAS says nothing about sponser being approved.
I think the acknowledgement is for your own application for PR, which is not an AOR2 but just saying they received your app.
Even if you put in the sponsors info it still shows the applicant side. If I use the Receipt number with my info (I am the applicant) it still shows me the same info as when I use the sponsors info. I don't think it will ever show Sponsor approved. I have heard that they don't usually update that.
As far as I can see only one UCI# was assigned to the application, along with an application number. Some applicants have their own UCI# because they either have a visitor record or a previous visitor extension approval.

Oh, I appologize for any misinformation. I'm one of the ones with my own UCI due to a visitor extension I'd received. I guess my experience won't work for others! Sorry about that.

Oh no worries James!!
I have my own UCI# from a visitor extension as well. I think it is good that the Ecas login has different options to use to get info on status, especially for applicants that don't have their own UCI#. We are all in this together bud!!
Smiles!!
Permanent Residence
We received xxxxxxx's application for permanent residence on December 1, 2015.
We started processing xxxxxxx's application on February 3, 2016.
Medical results have been received
We're mailing the FBI in today, purolator so it'll be there Monday.. Are we screwed? Does this mean they'll push it to the bottom of the pile?
IMO with the three lines they'll at least have you in the system and all that, so they'll know where to put your additional document. I think sending it in now is a great idea. This should prevent it from being dropped to the bottom of the pile... like they did mine *cry* ... hehe
