I think that the children processing times is regarding foreign adoptions... it's the most reasonable reason I can think of why they would have separate timelines for them.
He is not speaking of processing a child's application, he meant the processing time of a spouse that has children with the sponsor, meaning he thinks that since we have children together our application might go thru alittle faster.... it proves we have a genuine relationship.

Yeah I understand that but I haven't seen in any other place that there is a CIC time frame that is different for families vs just a couple... So I was thinking that the different time frames really meant processing times for adoption and we just were reading the chart in a way to hope that us with kids would be processed faster.... If it is for those of us with children this would be the only positive thing I can see being stuck in the "Great Buffalo Screw Over" as I like to call it...
Application (Spousal Immigration - Outland) received by Mississauga Office on May 30th, 2012
Application accepted and forwarded to CPP Ottawa on July 10, 2012
Online status shows : Application received, Medical Received.
No communication after that. Please update about your's if it's around the same time.
Congrats!!! It seems the best way to get movement is to get the hell away from Ottawa...lol!
Singhorama ours has said the same thing since we got sponsor approval so I'm also wondering if there is any other info posted on ecase but it seems like always it is very hit and miss with CIC :
Can someone tell me how much is much?
CPP-Ottawa helps CPC-M in first stage
CPP-Ottawa handles: Cairo, Islamabad/Kabul, Istanbul.
CPP-Ottawa handles: Bufflo, LA and what else?
I am serious "what is it exactly that CPP-O is doing?"

In my GCMS, against Eligibility, Security and Criminality, there is an American visa office (Buffalo) code .
Eligibility is in "Passed" status, and based on date it was "Passed" when the file was at Buffalo Office.
Security and Criminality fields are just <blank>. Not sure why Buffalo code is still presented against these too... But afraid it is because the file has not even been touched since transferred tp CPP-Ottawa :-[

If Ottawa is not doing any of the following assessments:
Assessment of Eligibility:
Assessment of Security
Assessment of Criminality
