DHL. I just accessed the shipment status online but it did not reflect the name of the person
who received my application. it just stated the destination service area, shipment status and piece ID.
I will call the courier to ask. Thank you so much.
PER - Positive Eligibility Review is conducted by CIC Office, Nova Scotia where case officers check applicant's documents and figure out if the applicant is eligible for the FSW program. Once the applicant passes the review, CIC emails the applicant that his/her application has got a positive review and that they are transferring the application to the local visa office for further scrutiny.
AOR - Acknowledgement of Receipt is an email sent by the local visa office that are in receipt of the application that CIC has sent them after PER. This is not mandatorily followed step by all VOs. For example New Delhi VO, India, directly send Medical Request after PER. No AOR.
99% its through... normally rejections happen after this stage only if cic doesnt find some job exp relevant and do not award sufficiently required points for eligibility...
Hello Sonofodin,
hope u had a good experience in application process. could you please answer the below questions.
1) can i pay application fee using credit card instead of DD??
2)what are the documents need to submit for accompanying spouse apart from marriage certificate & IELTS ??
3) Should i get birth certificate for spouse??
I can answer for your first question, yes, you can use CC instead of DD. I used CC in my application and it has already been charged.
Just make sure that it has sufficient limit to cover for the fees so that it wont be declined which would result to the return of your application.
Hello Sonofodin,
hope u had a good experience in application process. could you please answer the below questions.
1) can i pay application fee using credit card instead of DD?? Yes u can use CC. DD is safer than CC if there is sufficient validity for DD i.e 6 months. Advantage of CC is that u get to know immediately when fees is charged by CIC. DD takes a long time for this to be reflected. DD People get PER mail before confirmation from the bank that DD got encashed. Now for disadvantages of CC:
1.) If you loose ur CC, new CC that bank provides will have different CC number. So u will have to send additional package which may or may not be added to ur application.
2.) Bank issues new card without intimating u. Boom! again new CC number and u r doomed.
3.) CVV number or CC number added wrongly.
4.) Bank flags the transaction fraudulent and never intimates u. Although the chances of this is remote.
2)what are the documents need to submit for accompanying spouse apart from marriage certificate & IELTS ?? IELTS report is not mandatory. Needed only if u r claiming points for it.
3) Should i get birth certificate for spouse?? This is mandatory. If not sent, it will lead to rejection.
I created a fixed deposit account / time deposit account, with a lock-in period of 2 years, a week before I sent my application and put all my settlement funds into it. I got MR request and they dint bother to ask for updated bank statements. As long as the money is there in an account, you are good. If they have any doubt, Local VO will ask for the updated statements at the time of MR/RPRF/PCC. At that time, you should be able to show the necessary settlement funds in any account/means possible. So nothing to worry till PER and eventually MR.
I would suggest you to maintain the settlement funds till the end of the process. They might ask for proof at any point of the process.
