+1 for you basmalahh.

I just checked my credit card and 1100$ are charged on 8th April.

Thalia, nice to hear that your bank draft is also cleared.

Regards,
-s

Thanks spyder2011.. :)
& congratulations for the charging of your creditcard as well as for Thalia's bank draft.. Hope to hear of your PER soon inshAllah (by god's will)

yes shaafqatz, your bank should know whether your bank draft has been encashed or not & it's your right to know that as well..
Many members including myself had their bank telling them that that wasn't possible.. It's one of two, either the bank personnel doesn't know that it is possible, as usually the checking occurs on the level of a headquarter or a main branch, or they are just lazy to check it for you.

In either case, you should insist that they tell you. In my case, I just kept informing them to ask someone more senior till I finally reached someone who would help me, filed a complaint & I insisted that it's my right to know. Another forum member choose to send the bank an email which they couldn't ignore since that started a case...
Choose whatever case scenario works for you..

basmalahh

Guys I got my PER today! :)

Congrats Spyder! I noticed you said you FILED on 30 March, but in tracker it says 4 April?? Was this the difference between your sending and receiving dates?

Guys,

I have just passed in first phase (received my PER on 6th may) and gearing for next one. I thought let me be proactive to get my PCC before VO ask but it looks like tough journey again. We are currently at Bangalore, India and I have to get PCC from Bangalore and for My wife from Bangalore and Mumbai, India as my wife was staying in Mumbai after 18 years of age till year back.

Bangalore Passport office has PSK(Passport Seva Kendra) and I am not getting any appointment to apply my PCC.

I have few questions and your help/direction is really appreciated.

1. Can I apply for PCC from Police Commisioner's office in bangalore?
2. Does my wife has to go personally visit mumbai to apply her PCC?
3. If my wife concurrently applies PCC at mumbai and bangalore and if police comes for verification at mumbai then she won't be present there, what to do in this case?

Any other information will also help.

Thanks,
-s

I think you can contact CIO via email/Phone and ask your status, and Phone option sounds better to me.

salmoalikum
i sent my application and received by the cio on 25 feb 2011
they encashed my cc on 2 march 2011
up to first of july 2011 i got neither e mail nor mail from cio about my status
i became worry and according to the advice of some friends on forum i sent to them eguiry
the cio replied by giving me application number E0000 then 5 numbers
and stated that my application is awaiting review by an officer
just right now i used this application number as file number on cio electronic site to check my status unhopfully
the surprise that i found that they sent to me a letter on 31 march 2011 of course i received no thing from them
and my status indicate that the eligability review is complete

i am confused
is the application number is my file number????????????
does this mean that i got my file number????????
is the file number means PER or still not may status awaiting PER OR NER?????????
WHY they said my application waiting review by officer (they mean cio officer or visa office officer)?
really i am cnfused???????????

can any body explain to me?

Excellent post basmalahh :D

Hi spyder2011,

We got our PCC from Lucknow by applying at the local passport office. You just need to fill your form and submit your passport with it (and copies of old passport if you had one). Then they do your police check as in the case when you apply for fresh passport. It might take from 1 week to 1 month, but usually doesnt take much time. It doesnt matter which city you stayed in and for how long. They will get the PCC done, as they do for your passport.
