I know people that travel back and forth without any problems..but again it s your own risk...

Are you from a visa exempt country as well?

Yes i am but i still need an Eta...but i ve been in Canada since dec 2016 havent left since....i would like to visit my family back home but dont want to risk too much... the least i have my owp or aip....

My study permit expires in April 2017. By applying for Open Work Permit, as it takes 4 months to get work permit, what happens between April and whenever I get the OWP?

If you applied already for pr you ll be on implied status which means you can stay in Canada untik a decision is made on your application...owp are normally approved max. 4 months

If it takes 4 months for OWP to come, would I be able to continue to work after April until it comes presumably in May?

As long as you dont have a valid work permit you cant work in Canada.. then it s your call....my partner works at the airport and she sees people getting deported everyday because they are caught working illegally....

I am going home for a visit with my wife and kids for two weeks in March. When we come back they usually give me 6 months. Would it be better to wait until we get back to apply? And also after I apply will I be able to go back and forth to Turks and Caicos? My business is there and I usually go back for a week every two months.

If you need to constantly attend to your business then use outland. Inland is people who want to stay in Canada while their application is in process. If you apply and leave Canada for more than 2 weeks, it will be determine as not cohabiting with your sponsor in Canada. Meaning, your application will be cancelled and you will have to apply outland. Note that even if you travel with your sponsor, spend less days, but generally it is not advisable.

I filed my application for both pr and owp dec 19th 2016..i m still a long way for both of them...and so far i got aor for both me and my sponsor....
