Hi,
I also received my passports with visa stamped yesterday....
But there is one typo mistake in my spouse COPR letter that is they wrote her full name in family name column and nothing in given name column....spellings are all correct only column is wrong....same they did with her medical form before but we used that form and everything goes good....so is tehre any need to change it or its ok....Comment please..
My CoPR shows correct name for both surname and given name. I am no expert but if I were you, I would contact the Detroit office and consult what to do. My guess is if her given name and surname are not matching as shown in the passport, there's room for trouble.
If your CoPR doesn't expire any time soon, wouldn't it be better to fix it before landing?
Send a case specific inquiry to your visa office and see what they say.
Somebody here had a similar issue and returned the passport and COPR to CIC for correction. CIC sent it back without corrections but said it is their policy to put the name in one column if the applicant has just one name.
If a person does not have any surname in his/her passport then the visa officer take Given name as Surname thats there policy. so any one experiencing same problem need not to worry , thts how they work
