COPR Expiring on Sept 2020

Hello All,


I have got my COPR in Mar 2020 and it is expiring on Sept 2020. I was on F1 and my status recently changed to H1. I was not able to go to my home country because of the COVID situation and so I do not have a H-1B Visa Stamping to enter the US again once I leave the country.

I have also tried looking into the Automatic Visa Revalidation but it is not applicable for H1 immigrants.

Can anyone please let me know if I can get an extension on my COPR since it would be very difficult for me to enter Canada right now and if so how I can ask the IRCC for the extension

Your US immigration issue is not a reason for a COPR extension.

Thank you for your inputs. My medicals, police certificate from india and the fbi have also expired so i may not be able to get those also in time. I would need some time to get these also in place. Can i ask for an extension based on this

?

You have a COPR, so you don't need another medical or PCCs.

I think you can use approved h1b receipt 797 for AVR.
