My partner (British) and I (Brazilian) have just received a letter, asking us to provide the final passport details in the next 30 days, before receiving our COPR.
My main question is: I am Brazilian. Do I need to submit my physical passport? I have held a Canadian Work Visa back in 2013. And I currently don't have an eTA.
And if I don't need to submit the physical copy of it, do I have to at least take a photocopy of each of my previous canadian visas, or they can find this information on their system on its own? (My old canadian visas are on my expired passport, btw. So I am unsure if I should include?)
From their letter, it says that for people who does not have to submit the physical passport, that a photocopy of the photo page and any pages containing amendments of the valid passport is necessary. What do they mean by "any pages containing amendments of the valid passport?"
The letter also asks us to send with the application an Updated Information Chart (Appendix A). Is this necessary, or is this only applicable for people who had some details changed?
Finally, the letter also asks to upload all this information in our MyCIC account. I can't find a field to upload this? Or maybe the account I have is not even a MyCIC account. How can I find out?

I'm afraid I still don't have the answer for this. I know that I just need to "send" them my passport, but I can't tell if it needs to be the physical copy of it, or just a digital photocopy. I also can't find where in MyCIC profile I can upload the photocopy....
you have to send the passport to designated location mentioned in youre PPR. You're PPR would have detailed it.call them up and see if Brazil is passport exempt.rest which are not exempt should send passport i believe .

Brazil is visa exempt, as long as I have held a visa in the past. Which is my case. So I believe i only have to upload a photocopy of it. call them up too so you will be at peace .If its visa exempt you just need to send the copies , but still you need to email them that i believe(anyway just double check)

i am on the same situation, Brazilian, with ETA, did you submit your passport? I need to travel and I cant send them the passport... I already asked for extension with no reply yet, so I am really thinking on sending the photocopy just to comply with the deadline... and attach work permits, ETA, and a letter of explanation...
