COPR and coronavirus

Hi

My COPR is expiring in Dec 2021 and due to some personal circumstances, I won't be able to travel to Canada to complete the landing procedures.

What are the implications?
Will I be able to request an extension of COPR?

HI, if you do not land with your current COPR and it expires there are high chances that you will have to redo the process from the start. I mean from going back to the pool and wait for an invitation. The following has been said about the valid COPRs by IRCC

"We expect people with a COPR and permanent resident visa that are valid until October 1, 2021 or after to have enough time to come to Canada before their documents expire. "

Ha ha , sorry I failed to mention that I am pre 18 March ,2020 expired copr holder . No new document has been issued to me .

Hopefully not. For exemption as a fully vaccinated traveller, one must have received at least 2 doses of a Government of Canada accepted COVID-19 vaccine.

I got ADR to provide daughter's PCC, IMM5669 and Imm5406. She just turned 18 in sep and document says pcc is required if we stayed 6 month or more since Turing 18. So we still need to provide PCC for her?

She turned 18 & living consecutively in her home country so officer may ask for one. It is always at an officer`s discretion to request a new or additional police certificate. Its hard to reach to IRCC officer & explain so if you received ADR, it’s better to just get it done to avoid more delays.

I happened to speak with an IRCC agent yesterday about my recent re-medicals. It seems they take two weeks to review & update the status and suggest further steps. But again there isn’t any defined processing timelines yet in place!

Hi, after the remedical exam, do we need to upload or email the acknowledgement receipt anywhere that we get from the panel physician?

The UE mentioned to email them once the medical exam was done. Most people just reply to the UE and mention that the medical exam was completed on such and such date and also attach the eMedical Information Sheet that the hospital gives you after the exam. Some people have also raised webforms but thats a personal choice. My medical was passed without the webform.
