Thank you guys! I will try it. Seriously, over the past 24 months, this express entry thing has already been a long journey and considering the new restrictions will simply knock you unconscious. hope this ends well for all applicants with COPR.
Perfect, I got a signed statement from my bank yesterday. I will be carrying all documents that were used in the application process and goods to follow documents. A simple printout of goods on MS word works right?
Me and my spouse successfully landed in Toronto on 19-Feb-2021!!
Airline: Air India
Route: Hyderabad-Delhi-Toronto
All we need is:
Flight Tickets
Negative RT-PCR Covid Report
Boarding pass
Expired CoPR(s) and Travel Authorization letter
Declaration form which will be provided in the Flight before landing in Canada
ArriveCAN registration number.
Extra copies of old photos that were used for expired CoPR(s).
Last but not least, we need to go through a free Covid test conducted by Switch Health at the Destination Airport.
give your email ID and Textnow (Canadian) phone number, then it will send OTP to the given number which we won't receive, then there is an option of "Send it to the email id instead" click on that and you will be able to complete the registration and follow that same tactic for OTP whenever you login to switch health!!
Once you land and connect to the Airport Wifi, after letting your loved ones know that you have landed safely, immediately start registering to switchhealth online which would save a lot of time.
NO 3-DAY Mandatory Hotel Quarantine required as on 19-Feb-2021.
My cousin booked an Uber XL and we reached our Airbnb Quarantine accommodation (on Day-3 Quarantine right now).
Hello @Ann7676 that's promising news, did they have any immediate family in Canada? I'm asking as we are in the same boat, my wife and I's visas are expiring by April but we don't have immediate family in Canada. It does say on the travel restrictions that you'll be allowed in if you're entering from the US: https://travel.gc.ca/travel-covid/travel-restrictions/answers/foreign-us-approved-perm-res
not showing signs and symptoms consistent with COVID-19
not coming from the United States
an approved permanent resident not yet in Canada
approved after March 18, 2020 at noon EST
To be able to enter Canada, you must be sponsored by an immediate family member, and coming to Canada to settle permanently.
You will likely be allowed to enter Canada if you meet these requirements; however, the final determination will be made by a government official at the port of entry.
I need a little help from the ones who have already landed are about to land- what places did you book to quarantine? The cancellation and refund policies of the places on airbnb and booking.com are bugging me. Given the condition that we need negative covid test within 72 hours of the departure, how can we be 100% sure that we will check in on the given date.
Where should I look for the places which have flexible cancellation policies?
Thanks.
Most of the places have free cancellation till 48hrs before the trip. Otherwise it is always a risk to but we do not have any choice. In which city are you staying?
Hi I have expired corona Jul 2020 i couldn't travel before as tickets got cancelled multiple times. Later I got corona and took a few weeks to recover with post covid symptoms. Now can i delay travel applying for authorisation letter as long as I can since I have comorbidities bp,heart related dont want to risk. Now my question is
-Will my pr get cancelled for this delay in applying authorisation letter as it is valid only for few weeks
-or shall i apply get remedicals hoping extending copr by an year from medicals even if letter is valid for few weeks
- are they extending copr for 1 year after medical
