The validity of my CoPR had expired in Oct'2020 and I could not travel because of the covid situation around the world.
Recently I got any email from IRCC to confirm if I could travel before 1st April 2021 and reply to the email. Unfortunately I cannot travel to Canada right not as well because of Covid risk and restrictions.
It will be a great help if someone can reply my few questions.
1. Should I reply the email stating that I cannot travel to Canada before 1st April 2020? I am asking this because the email say that "Reply if you can travel before the mentioned date"
2. Is this the lsat chance to get the extension of my CoPR?
3. If I am ready to get my re-medical done in future, will I be granted the CoPR extension again?
Kindly suggest what should be my move in this case, as I am strictly not able to travel before 1st April, I can only travel once the situation related to Covid gets better.
It must be written in the email that you need to go for medicals for further extension if you can not fly before 1st April. Your application will remain open.
Happy new year everyone! If COPR and medical is expiring in Jan'21, should we expect IRCC to extend the Medical expiry date? Should we contact them? We do not meet the exemption criteria to travel as COPR was issued after 18th Mar'20 nor do we have close family in Canada.
You can go to any ICMR approved labs/hospitals. Most of them give test results with in 24 hrs.
Just do not forget to get a signed copy of test results. Online print out might not be accepted.
Even Delhi Airport is conducting test. You need to be at the airport around 4-5 hrs before for the test.
Hi all, Thanks in advance if anyone can answer my query.
I have a COPR and PRV approved before March 18,2020.
I did receive the 4point mail from IRCC back in September but I was not ready at that time to travel at short notice.
I am now ready to travel , can someone help in sharing what is the process?
Also, since now IRCC has updated not to raise any webforms ourselves, is replying to 4pt. mail my only option to request for the AL ?
That means they have already extended your medicals. Medical pass date shows that the on which medical was cleared or approved.
They must have provided a med expiration date before giving the AL or if AL is provided directly that means the expiration date of AL is the medical expiration date.

Yes. Delhi airport has a different machine. If its negative it take around 3 hrs and if it positive it take around 1.5 hrs from the time your sample is palced for testing.
Standard machine(used in labs in India) takes around 8-9 hrs from the time sample is placed for testing.
Every information regarding testing at airport is present online.
