Hello Folks,

My COPR expired on 20th Oct 2020 and was issued on 7th July 2020. I was not allowed to travel due to travel restrictions. Any idea when IRCC is going to start talking about people after March 2020? Also, are people doing remedicals on their own or after receiving request from IRCC?

I just received my AL but where in my cic account can I find my updated COPR?
My profile is handled by a consultant so I have never seen my profile. He only shared the AL, is that enough?

Hi guys, just a quick question, fo all post MArch 18, 2020 rule and who are not exempted from the restrictions, can we also send a ready to travel webform or cant??

So this means that we cant do anything, even let our COPR / PRV to expire until the travel restrictions are lifted, and by then, that s the time we request / or write a webform... =(

Hi - I am an expired COPR with visa issued post march 18. In my case, though I raised a ready to travel webform while my visa was valid, I got nothing but generic replies from IRCC. I could do nothing but watch as my COPR expired. Hoping other valid COPRs have it better. Good luck.

My timelines regarding AL in case it is helpful to someone:

VO : NDVO

2nd Oct 2020: 4 pointer email received from IRCC
6th Oct 2020: Responded to 4 pointer email with readiness to travel

Follow up email and webform raised after 1 month of no response from IRCC

2nd Dec 2020: Regret email for remeds is received

5th Dec 2020: Remeds done

7th Dec 2020: Webforms raised to Central Control Office (Generic one) and NDVO with remeds sheet

One more webform raised to NDVO [I raised it after I did not get a satisfactory answer for webform raised on 7th Dec 2020]

23rd Dec 2020: GC key updated with new CoPR, valid upto 1 year from the date of remeds

24th Dec 2020: AL received with the validity of 2 months

Also it is mentioned in AL email that if I cant travel within the validity of AL then my application will remain open and CoPR and PRV will be issued once I will be ready to travel again.

Nope it stayed at Approved. Never changed. My VO is New Delhi.. seems like they did everything in the backend.

Sorry about that! I also just joined a job now after the frustrating wait.

Unfortuantely for us, we have to just carry on. Don't quit till the last minute. And don't worry about anything till IRCC replies and gives you your final landing details.

Did you get a chance to check if people with PNP nomination based on job offer exempted from this if the skill is essential.

Scenarios of non-optional travel (you can come to Canada)
IRCC offers three examples in which a foreign national would be exempt from the travel restrictions and permitted to enter Canada:

• Scenario 1: A foreign national has a valid work permit and currently resides in Canada. Even if the person does not currently have a job in Canada, they can still enter the country since Canada is currently their primary residence.
• Scenario 2: A foreign national has a letter of introduction for an open work permit, has a valid job offer, and will be able to work in that job upon entering Canada.
• Scenario 3: Similarly, a foreign national has a letter of introduction for an employer-specific work permit, with a valid job offer, which they will be able to pursue upon entering Canada.
