AL letter - still waiting (hope to get soon)

That means counterfoil is valid for 15 days only and person is yet to receive the authorisation letter. Another blow from NDVO.

Actually it seems that the person has already booked the flight before replying to 4 pointer email thats why AL is issued for short duration keeping in mind his travel date.
The other larger concern at this time is rising CoVID19 cases in Canada. Hope this doesn't put some additional delays.
You cant travel on expired CoPR and PRV. Period.
The Orders exempt foreign nationals who have been approved for permanent residence and who were eligible to travel to Canada to become landed permanent residents on or before March 18, 2020, the date on which the first interim order came into force.
Right now we are not eligible as our CoPRs have expired. In order to make us eligible we need ETAs or new CoPRs.

It depends maybe they have some exceptional cases like left their jobs at home country or getting reunited with family in Canada and so on.

I think your frustration would be better served in wondering why you did not get it rather than why someone whose COPR expired after March 18 got it. Anyone with an expired COPR should get an AL. Let us not try and discriminate within that as well now.

Have they booked their tickets prior to raising ready to travel webform? People without flight booking might need at least month and half to settle things in home country prior to moving out.
Do we know the lead time in receiving our COPR? My application was approved today, I have my COPR number on my file but it says check messages for further information, but no COPR in messages!

any information about the submission of 4pt email ? When did they submit the 4 pt email?

1 Guy didn't confirm tickets or accommodation, just submitted the tentative travel dates before October 23.
Other guy had travel bookings.
