Yeah same here. but i am in Canada now. My wife is in Gujarat with COPR expiring 17 July. Let me know if you find any more info or success to get special flights as one year visa validity is confusing criteria
Air India is going to start some evacuation flight for Toronto/Vancouver from different cities in India but I am not sure about the connecting commutation to those cities. You can go to Air India site and chat with online agent.

My initial plan was to fly on 10th April so with the help of one friend I rented an apartment . Then as my flight was cancelled I managed to convince the landlord that if i fail to arrive even in May they will not charge rent but I need to pay rental from June 1. I just used that address in my quarantine plan. And for groceries my friend has purchased everything and stored in our apartment beforehand for 14 days isolation. There is non showing very hard attitude for isolation but they want to be sure you will do that and otherwise there will be huge penalties.
I sent a webform answering No to that question since it says if you are impacted by COVID19 than answer NO.....don't know the difference it makes....our visa expires May 26th.
Did you get any response to the webform you have created?
I also received the same email just now. Just for general info I haven't sent any webform to NDVO,just to CIC. Guess they are in the process of sending this email to all applicants with expired or near expiring COPRs.
Thanks pumpkin_latte for your information&All the best with your application,
If you apply for PR card and then promptly leave Canada then how will you come back to Canada later? As far as I know, PR cards are required and checked at the port of entry whenever you enter Canada.
Hi Members...

Just to clarify that to fly back to Canada as a PR you need to have either a PR card or PRTD simply to be able to checkin/board a plane destined for Canada. At POE CBSA will know you are a PR with or without a PR card or PRTD but without one you could not get to the POE anyway
A question for all UAE residents.
Do we need any special approval/permission to leave UAE? There are several KLM flights from Dubai to Toronto via Amsterdam. I spoke with KLM and they said that these are NOT special flights and are available to book for anyone.
My question is, even if the airline has no issue, do we still need approval from Ministry of Foreign Affairs to leave UAE?
Edit: I'm referring to a one-way outbound flight ONLY
