Hello, Sir/Madam
I currently have an visitor visa valid for 4 years. I'm planning to continue my undergraduate education at Canada. Is it possible, I can convert my visitor visa into student visa? Please let me know the process. Im currently on a student visa in United States.
Thank you
You were approved visitors because your intent was to visit only. If you want to apply student you can apply in Canadian Consulate in US.
Apply for student visa if you are thing to take course which is of more than 6 months duration.
Start by reading here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/
You can apply for it while you are in Canada only if u first take and complete a short duration course of 6 months or less which can serve as a pre requisite to your main study program. It could be a language course as well.
