Hi, pinkyrhea
If your contract is old but your working with same employer there is no problem. You can do the notarization on it.
Background check no one can tell you how they check.(many channel they use)
this is the link you can check your application status.

Good luck for your case.

r u notarizing the original offer-letter or the photo-copy.
we need to notarize the photo-copy of the offer-letter and not the original.
we need to send the original reference letter.
Other....am i right ?
Hi Irshad,
How you are going to get orignal refrence letter from your
current employer they will not give you.

Hi Irshad,

You do get original reference letter from your company.
I atleast got mine from the company.
Companies have to give original reference letter to the employee and they cannot say no it.....but for getting it easily it depends upon the relationship with your Manager and HR.
I got mine without any issues and hope u will also get.
Send the original Reference letter and notarize the photo-copy of your contract letter and send it to CHC
Companies has to give reference letter but only
When you are leaving company. ;D
If before you ask for that I m sure you are going to create doubt in
your boss mind that ur planning to leave company.
I m sure I can get from HR, but only from my boss I have doubt
what is your advice should i try.
When you leave the company you get Relieving letter and not Reference Letter.
Reference and Relieving letter has a difference my friend.
Even if you hide this from your company CHC will inquiry about your employment with your company.
So its better to inform your company before CHC does.
If before you ask for that I m sure you are going to create doubt in
your boss mind that ur planning to leave company.
For this i would tell you that no1 keeps on working for a single company.
Every1 will leave after some time working for a company.
So your boss will understand if he is a professional person. So its upto you to take this challenge and explain him properly that....Boss i am applying for Canadian Visa and the Visa process will take arnd 2+ years of time. So i need the reference Letter as the Canadian embassy needs it for my work proof.
Please provide this.
Just say this to him and he should agree i suppose.
And my advice to you would be to inform about your process and do not hide anything unless you think that informing them might create adverse effects on your job.
Rest its upto you how you handle the situation.
Good Luck
Irshad in my company they give experience letter from HR (Service certificate)
Plus refrence letter from IT manager. i dont know about releveing letter.
anyway thanks for your advice I will try but not now after some time.
let him come from his miami holiday
Where you from
I am from Mumbai.....
Basically CHC wants the reference letter to confirm that you have been working with your past company and you are working with the current company.
So this is what they need.....
So the companies must given a Reference Letter.
Also one more thing is that every1 is so busy with their work that they do not remember everythings.
SO if u ask your manager to give your ref letter then will even forget about it after some time

So chill/relax and get your ref letter and apply to CHC
Good Luck
