Continuous Work

I am a graduate student in law school and am applying for canadian immigration. I have been in school for the last seven years. All the jobs I have had are during school and I usually take a break for the summer. Sometimes I haven't worked for 4-6 months at a time. How would I qualify for the 1 year continuous employment?
