Conjugal partner

Hi guys,
pls i need some advice. I and my boyfriend have been dating for more than 5 years now, i was initially living in China before returning back to my country last year. and he moved to canada almost 3yrs ago and presently a Permanent resident in Canada. I tried getting student visa but i was refused in 2016. Also, trying the express entry but my IELTS band is not high enough. We have a piece of property together and a registered company together where business is to start next month..last time we saw each other is 2015...work schedule wouldnt let him come to our country to visit and we dont want to consider visiting visa because of the former refusal i got..Do we qualify as conjugal partner?

We have to be together to get married. we intend to though when we are together and we.do not want the marriage appearing as a marruage of convenience

That's not a reasonable excuse and it's not a real immigration barrier preventing you from getting married. You need to get married if you want to be sponsored. IRCC will not see you as a conjugal couple. If you haven't seen each other since 2015 - IRCC likely won't see you as a couple at all.
