We are from india , I am a pr holder and working in canada , I want to sponser my wife who is living with me in canada on tourist visa .Now i am confused should i file inland or outland , Inland Vs outland which is better ,
i have heard outland are faster and on inland the spouse cannot leave the country even after obtaining OWP . Is it true ?
Outland is faster for most people, but it all depends on the visa office CIC will be sending your application to for processing.
Inland takes about the same time for everyone (over 2 years) and the applicant is cautioned not to leave Canada at all...before or even after receiving the OWP.
Did you get married after you yourself became a PR of Canada? Please say yes!
Thanks for advice , Yes , I got married after becoming PR . I am planning to apply outland at New Delhi office. My wife is in canada and got multiple entry tourist visa for 10 years so i guess it would not be a problem to live in canada .
Only 1 question . If we apply inland , my wife would get OPW and based on that will get TRV . So travelling should not be a problem ?
Your wife does not get a TRV with the OWP. The OWP does not guarantee re-entry.
It is always up to CBSA if you are allowed to enter or not. If you are denied entry, then you would no longer satisfy the requirement of living together in Canada.
