Concordia (Masters) Vs Centennials ( Graduate Certificate course)

I have two options :

1) persuing Masters from Concordia (2 years) -> Gives me 3 yrs work permit and directly apply to PR
2) Dooing 1 year Graduate Certificate course from Centennials , Ontario -> gives me 1 year work permit, and for PR may be i have to move to other place like ALberta.

Both have same fees almost.

Please suggest Pros and cons and what shud i choose.

Btech (Electronics Communication Enginnering) in 2012 : 78%
Currently working in IT domain (1.5 work ex so far)

1. More than what's desirable you should think about what you want to do. Having interest in your field of study will benefit you in long run.
2. As far as I know Centennials is a college not a University. There's no doubt that Masters is better than a graduate diploma.

With your qualifications, I would suggest you opt for University. Yes, there's an additional year of study and extra cost involved but the benefits will be equally well rewarding

well in quebec u need to know french if u want a job fast......as for college and university goes ....there is a difference which jobs u qualify with a degree and a diploma......in most cases diploma is trade skills type of jobs ......and after university education u go for white collar jobs.....so its ur choice......eg. would be a diploma holder would go and set up IT networks where as degree holder would design networks.....another example would be a mechanical engineer would design cars and a diploma holder would build cars.
diploma is more hands on and ur career will be stagnant after a point and u will have to go back to university for masters. so u have to choose r a more hands on person or more intellectual person. nothing bad in both cases its just what u will prefer...these r just my views wait for more info from other experts

IN CANADA to get a white collar job BACHELOR degree is enough. To move UP in your profession PG is good. When you are established in profession Masters will help to move higher.

It could very difficult for a foreigner - masters degree holder without any CANADIAN work experience to compete with CANDAIAN Masters degree holders. Because they have masters + CANADAIN experince, career that moved them to get Master. Foreigner has only thoeretical knowledge (from Masters program) and FOREIGN experience. So he could be overqualified for an " after-bachelor" job but underqualified for "after-masters" one.
So PG could be more suitable than Masters for an international student. It all depends on personal education and JOB history details.

you could try concordia univ college of alberta.

they got misam there if thats of your interest.
