1. No they said I can submit GTF when I move permanently
2. I did provide my friends address and explained that I will be moving into this address in March next year. The officers were very friendly and helpful.
In US side, they asked for my passport, I797A and rental car agreement alone. They didn't ask for any other documents

When the officers ask for plans to move permanently, are you required to give exact dates and/or proof of tickets etc? Do they make a record and hold you to it exactly when you do move permanently?
Also, is it better to drive your own car or rental?
Are there days/times for when this border post if open for processing PR entries?
