Any idea what would we do in a situation where the company I used to work for does not exist anymore...It was shut down due to bankruptcy...How can I provide proof of employment???
Is it necessary for me to declare "ALL" the past employers??
Not sure of the contract...but I might have a paystub maybe and even the W-2 Tax form received from the employer.... I should be able to prove that I was employed with that company at some point of time, but not sure of being able to prove the complete duration. I even have reference letters from my co-workers, but are dated as of that time and are not recent.
Also, what if, I try getting in touch with my ex-boss who I used to work for, who now works for a different corporation. Maybe he might be able to write me a letter stating my dates of employment, but wont be able to provide it on the company letterhead.
Thats an good idea. if you can catch hold of your previous boss or else you can give all you haev for that previous company along with affidavit stating the information of that company, it address, It nature of work, your designation , your start/End of Service, some contact numbers of previous people who have worked for that company.

THanks Wolfy for the boost!! A lot of people are suggesting to be extra careful as the restrictions have gotten firmer and this small glitch in the application can lead to rejection... Oh well, I'll try providing with what I have and leave rest to God's will. Good luck everyone!
