Common Law Process

Hi, May I seek advise for commonlaw process. My commonlaw partner and I been together since 2016 and I started working in Canada last week June 2024, the case is I am planning to get my partner here in Canada after 2months .. We have complete documents to prove our relationship and living together since 2017.. Even though I am not yet PR can i get her here in Canada?

What permit are on you? Did you declare yourself as common law on your permit? Why didn’t you apply at same time?

Working Permit, yes i declared her as a commonlaw partner since the day I started processing my application for WP.

Type - LMIA (high/low), GTS, LMIA exempt

Partner applies for SOWP proving common law, ties to return, funds etc. Should have applied at the same time but oh well.

I already have positive LMIA under a company before i got here. I didn’t know that we can process at the same time because I am under a company.

So don’t know stream/skill/wage but apply for SOWP now.

Yes, because I want to be with her and live with her here and I need to adjust first here so that it wont be difficult/hard for her when I get her Here.
