Common-law essential question

Hello, my girlfriend changed her status from worker to visitor recently. We are submitting our common-law sponsorship later in october.
The question i have is - we have the stat dec showing us as common-law, if my girlfriend wants to visit home while she is on visitor status, would Canada border let her back? Im not sure if they consider a common-law partner "essential"

She can leave Canada but upon returning would be seeking entry again as a visitor. Common-law partners are considered essential but she would need solid proof of that.

It would be a big risk leaving. It will be up to the airline to determine if they are comfortable with her proof of being common law.
