I am an EE(CEC Outland) PR Applicant, AOR-NOV 2020. My Canada Visa has expired but work permit is valid till December 2021.
My employer wants me to travel to Canada on work assignment at the earliest. So my question is if I should apply for a work visa-Closed work permit or should it be work visa-BOWP?
Hoping that the new visa application wont impact the ongoing PR processing.
Applying for TRV wont impact my PR processing in any way? Right?
Also, since my existing WP is also expiring in 6 months, so will that also get renewed with the TRV process or do I need to apply for WP extension separately?

What permit are you on? Depending where you live, TRV processing will take months. If your work permit expires then your employer may need a LMIA and then closed work permit. This depends on your NOC. You are in a difficult position with a valid TRV. No effect on PR.
