I am here on closed workpermit. My company lost the contract with the client hence I have to go back if nothing works for me. My husband has dependent visa ( I am primary) and a open work permit. Is it possible if I resign from my work surrender my closed work permit and apply for open workpermit based on my husbands open work permit?
 
No - not possible. If you want to work, you need to obtain another closed work permit which requires a job offer and approved LMIA.
