Can you help me with some more information like have you received a copy of lmia or lmia number from your canadian representative and will there be any difference if the application is processed by a law firm in particular.
I have asked my canadian employer they said it's under review status with law firm, Is it normal before submitting the application.
Can you help me with some more information like have you received a copy of lmia or lmia number from your canadian representative and will there be any difference if the application is processed by a law firm in particular.
My representative didn't give me any LMIA number or copy.
And the benefits of having representative is.
They will not make any mistake.
They will make the profile look full. They will write the letter of explanation on behalf of us if you miss any document.
Also they apply from a different portal. I think the representatives use that. I can't say if that will reduce processing times but I can say that the officers will know that the applications are from authorised representatives. Which is good for us in a way.
How did you received your application status updates? did the representative notified you directly or have you have access to the gc key from where you can check yourself?
I have received my lima response in june 1st week and its august now, So I am thinking about the delay and is this something normal during this process.

I used to asked my representative about status updates.
But he told that we don't get to know any status updates for these types of applications and that we only have to wait for final decision.
I'm not sure how much truth is there in that. Because many see their status.
Let me know what your Rep said when you ask about Status updates.
