12 months full time skilled worker experience, 30 hours/ week

would I be able to apply through CEC after 10 months, if I work 40 hours/week?

Or I have to work through and period of 12 months and meet the hour requirements of 1560 hours at the same time.

Not exactly
Chapter 6.3 of the operational manual says:

Work experience must be acquired over a period of at least one year; work in excess of 30 hours per week over a shorter period cannot compensate for any shorter overall period of experience.

So, during a 12 months period it's required to work at least 30 hours/week each week. Cumulative hours may not work.

Thats exactly what the poster has said , if he works for 30hrs/week over and through the period of 12 months which is equivalent to

during a 12 months period it's required to work at least 30 hours/week each week. If I havent understood it wrong?

I replied to this statement:
and meet the hour requirements of 1560 hours at the same time.

I wanted to emphasize that there is not "the hour requirements". I.e. it's not enough just get 1560 hours/year. They must be equally distributed over the year.
Hope this makes sense.

I worked 12 months full time (I applied exactly 1 calendar year from when I started), 40 hrs/week, and my eligibility said recommend passed.

Just make sure to have worked at least 30-35 hours for the whole year.
They do not care about you working overtime.
and just to play safe.
Apply maybe 1 mth later after the 1 year CEC exp.

thanks for the clarification, guys

Not mean to disagree or disrespect, just wanna make sure we come out the best solution for other guys as reference.

This is from the CEC website:" You must have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. Full-time work means at least 30 hours of paid work per week."

If even part time work experience is qualified for cec. i guess even the hours distributed unequally during the year, as long as we have enough hours, and worked for over a year, it should be fine ,right?

Thanks

If it's easier to understand with hours let it be with hours :)

So, you need to get 1560 hours of experience to apply. But you can't could hours that exceed 30 hours per week.
For example, you worked
week 1 - 40 hours
week 2 - 20 hours
week 3 - 20 hours
week 4 - 20 hours
-----------------
Total - 90 hours/month, not 100 because week 1 gives only 30 hours. With such a schedule you need to work roughly 1560 / 90 = 17.3 months (actually less because a month has more that 28 days) to get 1 year of full-time experience.

That's very correct. In my case, I worked casual/variable hours. so what I did was to calculate all my paystub hours from the scratch and I worked more than 2300hrs and more than 52 wks ( that was old rule). My application is now approved and I got medical request. I never threw away any single hours. I guess once u exceed 52wks and not before 52wks, all other hours count. at least in my case. I also included all my paystubs though. :) :) what CIC means is " do not try to accumulate all hrs and apply under 52wks" they need at least from 52wks and above :P :P
